It is situated on River Bhagirathi’s banks at 2620 metre height above sea level. This comes as one of the best attractions if you are looking for an adrenaline rush! It’s 25 kilometre from Gangotri.

Harsil is an ideal place if you are looking for an andrenaline rush. The other village Dharali situated nearby is also frequently visited by tourists to view its pristine beauty. A starting point of River Ganga, it is situated at a height of 3100 meres above sea level on the shores of Bhagirathi river. Here devotees worship Goddess Ganga. It is a 300-year-old shrine with was initially constructed by Gorkha commander Amar Singh Thapa. Later on, the temple got renovated in 19th century by Jaipur king. This is yet again another paradise for trekkers as they have the opportunity to trek up to Nandanvan, Tapovan and Gaumukh.

It is situated at a height of 4238 metre above sea level and starts at Chaukhamba and later on merges with Gaumukh. Ganges water is pure and has rich mineral content. If you keep this water for years, there won’t be any traces of contamination as it flows through the terrain of medicinal plants.

Dodi Tal comes along with scenic location and is home to the renowned Himalayan trouts. It is a sparkling lake which is situated at a height of 3204 metre. You will find lot many log cabins scattered around the lake. Here you will find many options for camping and resting also. Those interested for fishing can take permission from the Divisional Forest Officer. For trekkers, there is another option to trek along the 16-kilometre stretch which passes through Agoda and Kalyani.
