Ingredients
1. 2 small lumps of tamarind each the size of a lemon.
2. 2 - inch piece ginger. 1 - inch piece cinnamon stick.

3. Sugar to taste. 1 bottle of chilled soda.
4.Dash of salt. Few drops of cochineal colouring.
Method
1.Grind tamarind, ginger and cinnamon to a paste. Put the paste in a bowl along with salt and sugar and pour 3 cups boiling water on top.
2. Cover and set aside to cool. Strain through a fine cloth. Chill then add soda and enough colour to give it a lovely pink colour.

It is the second largest hill station in the Nilgiris.
