1. Rajwada Palace
Being one of the oldest historical structures in the city, the Rajwada Palace is a landmark monument of the Holkar dynasty. The architecture of the palace is a fusion of Maratha, Mughal and French style and is a humongous and welcoming construction that reflects the royal, luxurious life of the kings and queens who ruled the very land. One can easily reach this place by any mode of transport till the gates of the palace. The palace is open from 10:00 am to 5 p.m (except for on Mondays). 2. Lal Bagh Palace
Indore is a sheer reflection of cultural and architectural heritage. The Lal Bagh palace located in Indore city again reinforces the fact that the Holkars had a strong foothold in Indore and their characteristic essence was infused in everything they built. The architectural style has a British feel to it with the gates being a magnificent replication of the Buckingham palace, and the ballrooms, marble columns, chandeliers are infused with the essence of Europe and are a visual treat in itself. The palace is easily accessible by road and any mode of transport convenient can be used. It is open to visitors on all days except Monday from 10:00 am to 5:00pm.
3. Gandhi Hall
Gandhi Hall, formerly known as King Edward Hall and locally known as Clock tower is a multi-faceted centre of culture, education and religion. The Indo-Gothic style of architecture carved on red and white sandstone is soothing to see and this is a prominent centre for art and cultural exhibitions which attracts people from the corners of the world. 4. Patal Pani Falls
One of the top-rated tourist destinations of Indore, the roaring Patalpani waterfalls is nature’s beauty at its best. It is one of the largest gardens in Indore and is an apt place to visit for a light evening stroll after a hectic day for relaxation and recreation. The gardens are open from 7:00a.m to 7: 00p.m on all days.
