Kodai Lake - This artificial lake was created in 1820 by Vele Leving,
the then collecter of Madurai. It is a star-shaped lake covering vast

» Shenbaganur Musuem - It is located about 5.5 kms
from Kodai lake. This flora and fauna museum also houses some of the
archaelogical remains and is maintained by the Sacred Heart College. Also
located here is the Orchidorium containing about 300 hundred species of
orchids.
» Dolphin's Nose - It is 8 km from the Kodai lake
and is plateau with steep chasms on either side. This vantage point projects
over deep gorges.
» Telescope House - Two telescopes are erected in
two different viewpoints in Kodaikanal to have a panoromic view of the
valley and nearby plains. Telescope are installed at Coaker's Walk and near
the Kurinji Andavar temple.
